Cybersecurity Presentation Today

As thwarting threats from cybersecurity become increasingly important for corporations, countries and individuals, the New Canaan Men’s Club will hear about current developments and the nature of potential threats in remarks Friday by Matt Hyland, a 22-year veteran of the Air Force, who has held multiple positions in information technology.

The Men’s Club meets at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, 111 Oenoke Ridge, beginning at 10 a.m. Hyland’s presentation is expected to begin around 10:40 a.m.

Hyland, who retired from the Air Force as a colonel, held multiple assignments in government, including assignments with the National Security Agency (NSA), U.S. Cyber Command, Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Air Force Space Command, and NORAD.

A Cornell University graduate, Matt also holds advanced degrees in Computer Science and National Security Strategy. He is now focused on supporting the defense of U.S. interests against cyber threats in the Financial Services sector. Matt lives on Long Island, NY, with his wife and their two young sons.

The Men’s Club has openings for new members, men 55-years old and above. For information, email ncmens@ncmens.info.
