Wedding Announcement
Mr. and Mrs. John A. Engel III of New Canaan are proud to announce the engagement of their daughter, Charlotte Ann Engel, to John Joseph Ellis of Darien.
Charlotte was born and raised in New Canaan, Connecticut. She attended the university of St Andrews, Scotland, and the College of William & Mary as part of their Joint Degree Program, where she earned her degree in History. Charlotte currently works as a freelance makeup artist, as well as at the New Canaan Museum & Historical Society, where she is their clothing historian.
John was born and raised in Darien, Connecticut. He also attended The University of St Andrews, Scotland, where the two met, and earned a degree in History. He graduated from Harvard Law School in 2022, and currently works at Debevoise & Plimpton LLP where he is an associate.
John and Charlotte will become Mr. and Mrs. Ellis on August 31, 2024 before friends and family at St. Aloysius Church in New Canaan. The couple will reside in New York City after the wedding.
