Library Introduces Pages & Putts: Mini Golf for All Ages

The New Canaan Library is turning bookshelves into fairways with its inaugural Pages & Putts mini golf event, inviting the community to experience a unique blend of literature and leisure. Scheduled for Friday, February 28, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., and Saturday, March 1, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., this event transforms the Library into an 18-hole miniature golf course where players of all ages can test their skills while supporting the Library’s Annual Fund.

“This will be a fantastic, family-friendly event, giving our community a chance to enjoy a round of mini golf while supporting the Library,” said Ellen Sullivan Crovatto, CEO of New Canaan Library. “We are especially excited to bring fun and friendly competition to kids of all ages, and we hope Pages & Putts becomes a beloved annual tradition.”

The event invites golfers of all skill levels to putt their way through a creative, book-lined course that weaves throughout the Library’s interior. Each hole presents a new challenge, offering participants a fresh perspective on their local library as they navigate fairways between shelves, around reading nooks, and through specially designed obstacles.

Foursomes and individuals are welcome to play, with a $10 entry fee per player that goes directly to supporting the Library’s Annual Fund. Attendees are encouraged to come hungry, as New Canaan’s favorite Apple Cart Food Co. will be on-site selling hot dogs and other treats for golfers.

The Library credits the event’s success to the generosity of local businesses and families whose sponsorships have made Pages & Putts possible. Leading the way is Camp Playland, serving as the Presenting Sponsor. Additional key sponsors include:

Front 9 Sponsor: New Canaan Pediatric Dentistry

Back 9 Sponsor: New Canaan Orthodontics My Smile

Additional Sponsors: Lizzie & JT Davis Family, The Merwin Family, The Ormond Family, The Teles Family, Lampert, Toohey & Rucci, LLC Attorneys at Law, Top Banana, Courtside Kids, and Walter Stewart’s Market

Sponsorship opportunities remain available, with families and businesses invited to support the Library by sponsoring an individual hole. Interested sponsors can contact Allison Zinczenko at azinczenko@newcanaanlibrary.org for more information.

For over a century, New Canaan Library has been the community’s center for learning, culture, and innovation. With an extensive collection of print and electronic resources, dynamic programming, and state-of-the-art technology, the Library is committed to fostering lifelong learning and community engagement.
