Cell phone dead zones are a chronic problem for many people living in New Canaan.
I know there was supposed to be some kind of “study” done to figure out a solution but I haven’t heard any recent updates on the study.
It is such a huge issue for those of us who live in (or drive through) cell phone dead zones. There was a time when life didn’t revolve around cell phone use. Sadly, that was the past.
It’s not merely an inconvenience anymore. For example, Bluetooth allows for relatively safe hands-free phone use while driving. But abruptly losing a call while driving creates a safety hazard as the driver can become distracted by the disruption.
Hope we can at least get an update on possible solutions.
Thanks so much.
P.S. At one point somebody suggested that the newest version of the iPhones would allow for emergency calls. I happen to have an Android — which I strongly prefer — as does everyone in my family. I shouldn’t be expected to have to buy a new device in order to get cell phone service in an emergency. And who determines when a seemingly routine call with a doctor edges into “emergency” territory?.
