NCHS alumni Tahela Denu gives back | LETTER

For the second year, NCHS alumni Tahela Denu ‘23 volunteered at the Hartford Healthcare Medical Mission at Cesar A. Batalla School in Bridgeport on Saturday , November 2nd. She joined 4,000 volunteers among seven cities to help distribute supplies to the underserved community. Medical Mission provides free medical, spiritual and in-kind goods from the medical professionals and community-based programs at each Mission location . It is her tribute to her mom Frances , aunts and friend, Dr. Maria Brea who work passionately in the medical field. As a high school junior, she received her EMT certification. “It is so important to start volunteering at a young age to start a lifelong habit of helping your neighbors.” She plans to study medicine.
