Social Impact Partners to describe mission at New Canaan Men’s Club

PRESS RELEASE

The New Canaan Men’s Club will learn about the work of Social Impact Partners for Connecticut from its executive director Mark Argosh when it meets September 6 in St. Mark’s Episcopal Church.

Headquartered in Westport, Social Impact Partners’ mission is to be a catalyst for positive social change by marshalling nonprofits, governments, educational institutions and business to change inequitable systems that prevent economic and social mobility for Black, Brown and marginalized populations.

The meeting will begin at 10 a.m. with Argosh presenting his remarks at around 10:40 a.m., following the business portion of the meeting.

Argosh has been Social Impact’s executive since 2016. In that time, its number of partnerships has tripled to almost 200 members. During that time, its government and nonprofit portfolio has grown from two to 18 organizations. He also serves as the chair of the Governor’s workforce Council and serves as an advisor to many of Social Impact Partners’ projects with nonprofits and their initiatives.

Prior to joining Social Impact Partners, Argosh worked in the financial industry for more than 30 years. He has an undergraduate degree from Brown University and an MBA from Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business.

The New Canaan Men’s Club has openings for new members, men 55-years old and above. For information about joining, email ncmens@ncmens.info
