Safe Driving Skills

As we age, changes in vision, hearing, reaction time, and cognitive function can affect driving ability. To address these concerns, a free “Lunch and Learn” event will be held on Tuesday, June 25, at noon, presented by Shannon Vallerie and Kathy Collins.

The presentation will cover strategies to maintain sharp driving skills, including regular vision and hearing checks, exercises to improve reaction time, and activities to support cognitive health. Attendees will learn to recognize signs indicating when it might be time to stop driving, such as frequent close calls or difficulty navigating familiar routes. Additionally, alternative transportation options will be discussed.

Tuesday, June 25 at Noon at the Lapham Center. Free. Complimentary lunch and an educational presentation. This event offers valuable insights to help older adults drive safely for as long as possible.
