Dr. Luizzi to Speak at Men’s Club

New Canaan School Superintendent Dr. Bryan Luizzi will address the New Canaan Men’s Club on Friday, May 31, to discuss the educational programs and achievements within the town’s schools, which are regularly ranked among the best in the state and the nation.

In a recent review by Niche Rankings, the New Canaan School System was placed in the top 50 out of 12,292 school systems nationwide. The district received A-plus grades in academics, teacher quality, college preparatory standards, and administration. 

The Men’s Club meeting will commence at 10 a.m. in Morrill Hall at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, located at 111 Oenoke Ridge. Dr. Luizzi’s presentation is scheduled to begin at approximately 10:40 a.m., following the business portion of the meeting.

The New Canaan public school system is often cited by newcomers as a significant factor in their decision to move to the town. Dr. Luizzi is expected to provide insights into the district’s current initiatives and future plans.

Dr. Bryan Luizzi has a notable career in education, marked by his commitment to academic excellence and innovative leadership. In 2011, Dr. Luizzi joined the New Canaan Public Schools as Principal of New Canaan High School, where he served for three years before being appointed as the District’s Superintendent in 2014.

Dr. Luizzi frequently shares his belief that our work in schools is the most important work on the planet.

The New Canaan Men’s Club, established to foster camaraderie and community involvement among its members, is open to men aged 55 and older. The club meets weekly, offering a variety of activities, guest speakers, and social events designed to engage and inform its members. It serves as a platform for members to stay active, connect with peers, and contribute to the community through various service projects.
