Caffeine and Carburetors

By Julie O’Brien Deasy

Question: When is the next Caffeine and Carburetors Event?

Answer: Caffeine and Carburetors (C&C) is coming up on June 16 from 8:00 – 11:00 am in Downtown New Canaan. This free event is a gathering of automotive enthusiasts that meets four times a year to share their cars with fellow collectors and our town. Hosted by Zumbach’s Gourmet Coffee, C&C events draw an extensive variety of cars across every category and have earned a reputation as the place to see some of the most unique, rare, and ‘cool’ cars in the world.

This will be the 16th season for this event, which also benefits our town. Each participating car is asked to register and pay a $20 donation, 100% of which goes to the New Canaan Community Foundation.

Doug Zumbach began hosting these gatherings in 1995, drawing town residents and families (and their dogs!) and visitors from neighboring towns and states to enjoy the cars and the charm of New Canaan and its restaurants and shops.

Caffeine & Carburetors has also partnered with, and donated to, charitable causes and local organizations, making a positive social and economic impact on New Canaan. There will be another gathering this fall on October 20 in Waveny Park.

All residents are invited to come downtown on the morning of June 16, grab breakfast from a local restaurant, and enjoy your coffee while viewing a wide and eclectic variety of rare autos. For more information, or to register a car for the next event, please visit www.caffeineandcarburetors.com.
