Democrat Lucy Dathan was unanimously endorsed by delegates from the towns of Norwalk and New Canaan at a convention Wednesday evening in Norwalk City Hall. Dathan is running to represent the 142nd House District for her fourth term as State Representative serving the district.
“I want to say how honored and grateful I am to be re-nominated as your State Representative,” said Dathan. “It is very humbling and makes me so proud. I believe my role as State Representative is making sure my votes reflect what our district’s constituents believe in and care about, and making sure that everyone in our community is treated fairly. We need to ensure that our kids can thrive, and that means keeping them safe from violence, protecting their future from the effects of climate change, and continuing to grow the health of our area’s economy.”
In nominating Dathan, Mary Ellen Flaherty-Ludwig praised Lucy for being, “Quietly charismatic, brilliant in business, and a friend to everyone,” and Norwalk Democratic Town Committee Chair Colin Hosten added, “Lucy has served her district with determination and grace. We are proud to nominate her for re-election in the 142nd, and look forward to working as hard on her behalf in this campaign as she has worked for the people of Connecticut in the State Assembly.”
Lucy Dathan is a graduate of Santa Clara University in Business and Accounting, and has worked in Silicon Valley in public accounting where she earned her CPA.
