GetAbout New Canaan invites the community to an evening brimming with elegance and purpose. On Saturday, April 6th, The Country Club of New Canaan will open its doors for a spring fundraiser, promising attendees a night filled with delicious dinner, dancing to a live band, and an array of entertainment options including a silent auction and performances by a celebrated mentalist.
For over four decades, GetAbout has stood as a beacon of support and mobility for New Canaan’s seniors and others who find driving beyond their reach. With a fleet of eight vans equipped to accommodate wheelchairs, GetAbout has not just facilitated over 9,000 rides in the past year but has also been instrumental in delivering more than 5,000 meals in collaboration with Meals on Wheels.
This event, apart from being a testament to the spirit of community and generosity that defines New Canaan, is also a critical fundraiser to ensure the continuation and expansion of these indispensable services.
Supporters of GetAbout New Canaan and newcomers alike are invited to partake in this splendid evening, which not only celebrates the organization’s monumental service to the community but also raises crucial funds to sustain and expand its offerings. It’s an opportunity to engage with the heart and soul of GetAbout’s mission, learn more about the impact of their work, and contribute to a cause that touches the lives of so many.
Tickets and additional details about the event are available on the GetAbout website at https://getaboutnc.org/events/.
