Your Board of Education Debate Rundown

The recent Board of Education debate sponsored by the League of Women Voters of New Canaan, was held at 7:15 PM at Town Hall and drew a substantial turnout; reflecting the community's keen interest in the school system’s coming years. The October 23 debate featured six of the eight candidates for Board of Education, Brendan Hayes (D), Matt Wexler (R ), Lara Kelly (R ), Matt Campbell ( R), Giacomo Landi (U), and Lauren Connolly Nussbaum (D), while the other two candidates, Hugo Alves (R ), and Josh Kaye ( D) participated in a separate, pre-recorded debate due to scheduling conflicts. The candidates answered six questions and had time to provide their statements and opinions, as well as for rebuttal if desired.
