For ten years, I had the distinct pleasure of working with Amy Murphy Carroll at St. Mark’s May Fair in the “White Elephants” section. Amy would step up to do the “heavy lifting” that had to be done and never shied away from putting her shoulder into the hard work involved.
The May Fair brings parishioners together with others from our community at large and raises money for outreach grants of all types and has for 74 years. Amy, especially, got things done efficiently and quickly while making friends along the way. Rain or shine, she was there, volunteering her time despite being a busy working mother. Her enthusiasm was contagious, and everyone looked forward to working with her. She had boundless energy and a friendly take-charge attitude. She is thoughtful, kind and a joy to work with. I know that she will be a terrific selectman.
